Think you are being a little unfair as it is known and proven to be a real
condition. Having said that, there will inevitably be some who will take
very little persuasion that this condition is a good excuse not to work. as
it doesn't appear in the international listings of medical conditions, in
reality, it can't be legitimately used as an excuse not to work, nor for
absenting on grounds of sickness.
Having said that, Whiplash isn't an accepted condition but is often used as
a diagnosis.
Having been a Chartered Physiotherapist (what you guys over the pond refer
to as a Physical Therapist - which isn't quite the same)for almost 40 years,
I don't think that there are many try-ons that I haven't come across!

I omitted to say in my previous that my body defaults to a 21.5 hour day
when free-running which means that I frequently have a day that my body
tells me is night!
I didn't allow this to interfere with running my business for 30 years, but
now have the luxury of a "power nap" in semi-retirement.

When working, my solution was to mentally press the adrenalin button which
is also what I do when operating CW contests and special event stations
during which I rarely sleep!

This is one of another seemingly endless stream of excuses for people's
behaviors. People are trying to find reasons to justify the reason that
most
blind people are not working and, of course, the best way is to find an
excuse
that makes big business money. I've not been hearing many commercials about
this but have been getting emails, phone calls, postmail mails, etc. where I
live in TX.
