If you have an OCR program on your computer, you can use it to scan
image files. This is true for blindness products like Kurzweil, Open
Book, and Text Cloner Pro as well as for mainstream products like Fine
Reader and OmniPage. If you have anything like this, check the menus for
the option.

In Open Book, you use the Freedom Import Printer, which you find by
pressing ctrl+p in whatever program opens the image file. Select Fredom
Import Printer as your printer and press enter on it. Then Open book is
launched, and the image is scanned.
