it covers 108 to 136 A.M band rx only, 136 to 180 FM, tx and rx, 220 to
400RX, and 400 to 490 tx and rx.
It says it covers 4 different bands in the manual, and I think this is how
they have them outlined.
The dimensions are given in the manual and I think it was something like 5
by 7 by 1 and a quarter, about the same size as the v71 I suspect.
No extended band coverage above 490 outlined in the manual, but if any of
the other chinese HT's are any thing to go by, you will be able to get
significantly more coverage out of the radio through software modifications.
This usually only extends to rx, but other LCR's, such as the baofeng uv3R
have been modified to operate on 220MHZ, though definitely not consistently
So, we'll have to see what happens once a few are out there and people have
had a chance to hack and whack them a bit.
If you are confused Jim, it's because you are still in general coverage
receive mode from the other thread hi hi.
this rig also has direct frequency entry and several microphone short cuts.
