but isn't everyone entitled to their opinions, even if others don't agree
with those opinions?
And because they are opinions, they don't have to be right or wrong.
If my opinion is echolink sucks, and I hate it, then that is my opinion.
That opinion doesn't go so far as to say no one should use it, and that it
anyone who does is less than a ham or shouldn't have a license and all that
crap.
Free speech, and the respect for others right to free speech is becoming a
thing of the past these days. So many people take offense to the freedom to
express oneself, weather right or wrong, that people are very careful to
state their thoughts outloud.
It's a real shame that this has happened in a part of the world where free
speech and ones right to an opinion are supposed to be corner stones of our
civilization.
The other side of that is, the ability to accept someones opinion for what
it is, and not get all sideways about how it offends this or that.
If someone isn't listening, or paying attension or following clear
instructions, than it is my right to express my opinion of that persons
mental state, weather I'm right or wrong about the actual fact. And it's
also my right to not be persecuted for making my opinion known on such
matters.
The great thing about an opinion, is that it can easily be changed with
updated information and facts.
today my opinion is that a yaesu FT857D is the worst radio ever...tomorrow
that could change after I've operated the thing for a few hours.
And both opinions are completely and utterly valid.
