Sin's definition is begun with Adam an Eve's lack of obedience to god's 
commands.  Then there are the seven laws of Noah, of course.  After which 
there were instituted the ten commandments.  Then Jesus elaborated on those 
when he added the "near occasions of sin to be just as serious as any actual 
sin.  Then Saint Paul said that if a man knows to do well an does not do it, 
that is also sin.  How can one get clearer than that?
