Never tried this one, but I do have an alex loop.  Similar idea, however it 
is rigit copper, and only rated for 5 to ten watts I think.

It is quite usable by a blind op.  Just carefully tune for max noise.  I 
checked it while at dayton, then at home. I can regularyly get to 1.3 or 
less swr without being really careful.
Looks like a great apartment antenna.
Perfect for the kx3.
