I am told Wouxun is very responsive to feedback on their radios. I
have sent them an email with several suggestions that would greatly
improve the accessibility of the radio, which I find to be already
quite usable if not currently fully accessible.

Unfortunately, I happen to know that even if they implement every one
of my suggestions, current Wouxun radios will not be able to be
upgraded. Only radios manufactured after they make the necessary
firmware changes will benefit. Wouxun has made numerous improvements
to their radio's firmware though, and the radios do sell like
hotcakes--my radio has serial number beginning with K06, indicating a
manufacture date of June 2011. I bought it in July from Ed Griffin's
website.

I guess I'd best start saving my pennies for a KG-UV920R if I want
whatever they decide to implement of my suggestions, eh?
