Christopher and Becky H.:
Actually, the means for changing schedules in Windows 7 is not quite the same as in Windows Vista (or other earlier versions of Windows), because of the changes that Microsoft made to accessing the control panel in Windows 7. Specifically, the Control Panel in Windows 7 behaves more like a website (at least in JAWS, the system I'm using), and you actually tab from place to place, clicking on the entry you wish to view. And no, you do not access the Control Panel from the Start menu--a shortcut to it is placed on the Desktop of Windows 7-running systems.

To Becky, probably the best way to get to where you want to go is to do the following three steps:

1) Click on the "Control Panel" shortcut on the Desktop.

2) When the Control Panel opens up, write "Schedule Tasks" in the edit box your cursor will be sitting on (Note that in the case of JAWS, you will not need to turn on the "editing" cursor to do this--a difference between the Control Panel and the Web).

3) Without pressing any key after writing your search terms, tab down to the "Schedule Tasks" link (it should be the first or second link that comes up) and click on it.

The rest should be familiar territory, especially if you have done it before using earlier versions of Windows.

Every story has at least two sides if not more.

I would think it would work the same way in Windows 7 that it does in
Windows Vista. For example, if I go into Start Menu -> All Programs ->
Accessories -> System Tools, I see Disk Cleaner, Disk Defragmenter and
Task Scheduler. How are you doing this in Windows Vista and what doesn't
work or isn't there in Windows 7?
