Doesn't glucose compete with vitamin C at the cellular level? If so,
then elevated blood glucose should result in symptoms of vitamin C
deficiency, including arterial plaques. Increasing vitamin C as blood
glucose increases, even when massive doses are required to achieve a
balance, should effectively treat symptoms of vitamin C deficiency,
leading to the therapeutic dosages that Pauling eventually advocated.

Please correct me if there is something here I'm misunderstanding.

Best Wishes,
Ron
