The K3 and some other rigs can match up to a 10:1 SWR.  The FT950, and I
think the FT450, have tuners that only accommodate a 3:1 SWR.  So if you
plan on using the internal tuner in your 450, there will probably be some
bands, particularly 30 meters, where it won't load up.  If you are using an
external tuner with a wider matching range, then this antenna should work on
more frequencies.
