Hi all:

Received some major antenna problems after yesterday's wind and rain storm. My Coax has finally given up the ghost and rather then spend 90 bucks in replacing a length, I'm going to replace the hole antenna with a G5RV and Coax for around 90 plus tax from Radio World in Toronto.
Has anyone had any experience with this antenna? They sell the MFJ-1778 but I figured I'd get the radio world version, even though the MFJ version gets a pretty good review on eham.
Well, if a 4.9 counts from 11 users! LOL The one I'm looking at is the 102 foot model with ladderline and 50 feet of attached coax for 90 plus tax.
I haven't played around with one of these before and my XYL is going to be the one helping me put it up.
I'm also a little tired of my homebrew windoms legs working loose after being only up a few months, so going to move to a more commercial antenna.
The G5RV is supposed to be a little bit better of a performer on 40 to 10 so am kind of looking forward to that, hearing the net better and working CW on 30M.
I'm glad that 7.185 worked out and even though I tried to check in, when I tuned my antenna remotely, got the SWR alert. I had my antenna checked 2 weeks ago and a friend of mine indicated that my coax could be bad.
So, gonna replace the antenna and all.
