Leslie,

I would be careful taking the above suggestions. Every email before
this one has inaccuracies. You may take some of them as generalities,
however.

The only reliable general difference between a netbook and a
laptop/notebook is that the netbook runs off of a atom-based family of
processors loosely designed for portable Windows based machines. And
these are generalizations too. An atom processor in a netbook
generally has a smaller amount of level 2 cache, and thus, uses less
electrical power than other kinds of chipsets.

But you can get netbooks that weight mor and cost more and are more
powerful and faster than a laptop. You can also get netbooks with DVD
drives and advanced graphical capabilities that can exceed those of a
laptop/notebook.

So with this in view, I recommend a consultation to assess your needs
and produce a professional recommendation from an expert if you want
the best unit for you.
