Now that I think about it, I believe this is correct.

I'll know when I get it, but I do seem to recall that with other set-ups I 
have seen.

Tom and all;
I believe that the foot switch has a quarter inch phone plug
attached.  I have used a non-Heil foot switch with an old Heil mike
and that was the appropriate connector for that set up.
