Hi Ana and all

The Authors' Guild thing is a copyright law issue. I do not know enough
of the pieces to say exactly where all the problems lie but some of it
has to do with digital rights being broken out differently than print
or oral performance rights and a definition of performance that does
not distinguish between humans and machines producing the performance.

for websites

The DOJ's statement on electronic accessibility is very exciting. I'm
not
sure what it means for ebooks and ebook readers. Clearly books and
readers
must be accessible in an educational setting. But does that translate
to
Kindles purchased by the general public? How is the Authors Guild
controversy affected by this statement? Does anyone know?
