Sometimes my ft60 doesn't warm up after charging. It still charges though 
accept i might use it but every few weeks. Noone uses our repeaters here 
very much, it's boring.

Run it and find out, if the battery dies fast it didn't charge, if it lasts
a while, it didn't. That's all I can say for it really, I do have some
radios that don't have any lights to indicate charging. I don't know of many
that don't get warm at least slightly but it's possible.
