Hi Kevin.
Switch to the sub receiver using the right arrow key in the diamond keys to
the right of the VFO knob, and it will work for you. Only the sub-receiver
has extended coverage on VHF and UHF.
If I am using repeaters as opposed to SSB, I usually keep the main receiver
on the HF bands and the sub receiver on 2 meters or 70 cm. That way, while
I'm on HF, I can also keep track of the local repeaters. Works pretty well
that way.
