Dear Listmates -

I have no financial interest in these products.
I mentioned in my previous post that www.lifeextension.com cited research showing people with Celiac Disease are prone to higher levels of homocysteine, which means greater risk of heart disease and heart attack.

It also said that the research studies found that taking a certain B-vitamins, Folate (Folic Acid), B6, and B12, lowered the homocystine levels.

At the health food store yesterday and online, I found that not all B-complex or B-vitamin supplements have the Folic Acid. I mentioned to the health food store manager what I wanted, and she handed me a bottle of NOW brand Homocystine Regulators.

It contains B6, B12, and Folic Acid (no other B-vitamins) and is specifically to lower homocystine levels. It wasn't expensive, so I bought it. It says no gluten, no dairy, etc. (no common allergens) on the bottle, too. I am sure it is available online at places that have NOW products, too.

There is no cellulose filler, either (just the capsule, a veggie cap). I have cut down on those, although gluten-free, because I take a lot of supplements and all the tree-based cellulose (which is waht the gluten-free products usually contain for cellulose fillers) is a bit hard for me to digest. I feel better with less cellulose filler.
