Tom,
Do these strips that you mentioned have the hooks on one side and the loops
on the other side so that an overlap will get the job done or are the hooks
on one strip and the loops on another strip?

You can get velcro strips at various well-known retailers like Walmart,
Target, etc. They come in various sizes, or, you can get a big roll, and
just cut them to the size you need.
I have found them to be very handy both in the home shack, and in the RV.
Again, they are a bit pricy, but really worth it in the long run, since you
can use and re-use them endlessly.
