Well sort of. He's pretty much stopped doing climate research, or at
least publishing any papers. Among other things he's gone on to
championing creationism...

FYI, I'm only a couple of years younger than you. I'm also a bit of a
contrarian, however, for the most part I prefer to stay private and I
don't have much time for public debate. The one thing that will draw
me out is when someone presents a position that is directly opposed to
the scientific research that I am familiar with. You may, somewhat
correctly, perceive that as an attack on your position, but realize
that it is also an attempt to validate my position; when I say show me
one scientific paper that contradicts my position I really do want to
know if such a thing exists...

Conservation is good. Knowing what to conserve is even better.
