Hi.

The explanation for disappearing repeaters is that the government is not 
allowing amateur radio repeaters in many of the government buildings and 
sites any longer, and a lot of repeaters are going silent when they lose 
their sites.  But they still want us to bail their butts out when disaster 
strikes.  If it were left up to me, I'd bail them out everywhere except 
Washington D.C.  They can hang.
