Well, as I've said on here as well as others here and other lists I don't
know what will stir up interest on 220 MHz.  When I went to a ham fest in
January I saw some Motorola gear for 33-cm on 900 MHz, but the only
activities there i hear are baby monitors and cordless phones and wireless
rabbits for ear phones and that is it.
