Yup, Icom uses the same plugs as Kenwood, have for a very long time too and 
I think they still might though the 703 might be different. I'm not sure. I 
don't know what the other makes use, actually, yes I do, Alinco uses the 
same thing on their HF equipment. I don't know about that company that 
starts with a y and makes me sick when I think about them, alinco's just as 
bad but I'm stuck using them at the region EOC every month unfortunately 
though when 1 more breaks, I'm putting my own radio in there.
