I know a guy who had noise like that and it turned out to be something going 
bad in the refrigerator, that's the problem living in an apartment building, 
1 of the numerous problems anyway, it could come from any one of a hundred 
things in how ever many apartments and there is likely nothing you can do 
about it unless you can track the source to your own.
