Just out of curiosity since I don't think this has been touched on yet, how
easy/possible is it for PL tones to be set on either of these? I'm looking
at HTs as well, and St. Louis has a lot of PL tones used around here, which
I'm sure is true in a lot of places.

Hi Walt;

I would choose the TH-F6A hands down.

The radio is more user friendly because of the beeps.

The low beep is always the default setting.

And, if you can use one KENWOOD, you can use them all.

I've been a ham for 13 years and, I always try to re-invent the wheel by =
going to ICOM but, I keep coming back to the KENWOOD radios.

I just purchased a KENWOOD TS-480SAT and a KENWOOD TH-G707A and I have =
no trouble at all using them or remembering in what position I left my =
settings.

Good Luck & 73 De Anthony W2AJV

  On a straight side-by-side comparison and forgetting about price=20
  differentials, etc., which HT would you choose; the Icom T90A or the =
Kenwood=20
  TH-F6A and why? I'm looking seriously at both rigs and would like to =
tap the=20
  collective wisdom of the list regarding features, ease of operation =
and=20
  programming for a blind ham, etc.
