Thank you for ALL the help!! I will be attending a cousin's wedding
and taking a vacation while I am there. I'm sure this info will come
in handy!

Here is a summary of the information I have received so far:

I live in Lancaster. Are you going to the dance competition at the Host
Resort?
There are many restaurants in the area. Texas Roadhouse is across the
street. Two Chinese within 1/2 mile. Outback & Carraba's in Lancaster,
Right off RT30 heading West from where you are. (Between Oregon & Lititz
Pikes). (probably 2 miles). There is a Wal-Mart about 1 mile away.
Miller's Smorgasbord (head East on RT.30) about 1 mile down the road. They
are very aware of special diets. Little pricey but good food.
Stauffers of Kissel Hill (Lititz Pike-Lititz) (grocery store) has a great
Selection of GF foods. Also Akron Nutritional Center (Oregon Pike - Akron)
Also has a great selection of GF foods. Shady Maple Smorgasbord in
Morgantown (RT.23 - New Holland Pike)approx.20 min. ride from RT.30. Well
worth it. Different specials, different nights. Prime Rib-Wed. my
favorite. Questions? They will get answers for you. It does get crowded
So the earlier you go, the better. Hope this helps.

Not sure about the restaurants, but I can provide you with some
grocery/organic stores that sell gluten-free products:

Rhubarbs Market
1342 Columbia Avenue
Lancaster, PA 17603
717-392-0333

also located at:
1521 Lititz Pike
Lancaster, PA 17601
717-390-3001

25 miles north of Lancaster is an EXCELLENT store for gluten-free products:
Nutricurean
1101 Woodland Road
Berkshire Mall West
Wyomissing, PA 19610
610-898-0745

Also, some of the larger Giant and Weis Markets Grocery Store chains
have a small aisle of gluten free products. Stauffer's of Kissel Hill
in Lititz, PA has a large aisle of gluten free foods.

I was lucky enough to stumble on the name of the Celiac Group in
Lancaster and got a woman's email address. We told her where we were
staying (Lancaster Resort on Rt. 30) and here is what she recommended!

Texas Roadhouse is across the street from where you are staying.
There is also a Chinese rest. Down the street. Outback is about 10 mins.
(RT30W) from where you are... Good and Plenty on RT.896 , I think is
better than Plain and Fancy. Haven't been there in a loooonnnggg
time.. Us locals only go when tourists are gone, You will have to call
them, sorry.
Also Miller's Smorgesborg is RT30E from the Host. They are on top of
diets and know about Celiac. It's a little pricey, but good.
There is a Wal-Mart heading West, but do not go on the by-pass, (stay
on Lincoln Highway) about 1/2 mile from where you are.. Do not go at
night, not my favorite Wal-mart. They have had some problems at night.
New Target Close by. There is a little Tea Shop in Rockvale. Owner is
Celiac and had some GF items. Can't remember the name and haven't been
there..
also...
There is an Outback and Carraba's right off RT.30 in Lancaster.
