It's amazing how some things transcend generations and ccultures.

I, too, am a closet trekkie, have been one for almost 30 years. It 
was Star Trek that first convinced me that there was more purpose to 
learning English than torturing seven-graders. <g>

I like to watch all the shows but the original Trek remains my 
favorite as that is what I grew up with as a starry-eyed and slightly 
alienated teenager. <g>

I find it amazing to know how many of the friends I make like Trek 
also and some of them are true trek buffs even. <g>

this makes me feel right at home here. <g>
