My suggestion for mounting the head is to use super-Velcro on the mounting
bracket, with mating Velcro piece on surface of desk, console, dashboard or
whatever. Since microphone doesn't plug into the head, there's less strain
on mounting.  Super Velcro used to be available at Radio Shack as their item
number  64-2360 or 64-2363.
