Save your pennies and get a TS-480. It has more speech messages and fewer
knobs to worry about. The its-450 or 570 aren't that much more accessible
than the ts-440 and they cost about as much. You might be able to find a
used ts-480 now. I suggest the 100 watt version with antenna matcher.
