Kathleen Felker's post:---

<<<< Dear PCBUILD:
Back in April 2004 I upgraded my Windows 98 to Compaq Millenium
Edition. The store helping me upgrade, put my OLD 1.99 GB hard drive in
my 'new' used computer - the new compaq pc has a 7.82 GB hard drive. I
now have a C:drive (the new hard drive) and a D drive (my old 1.99 GB
hard drive).
I am able to scan disk on both drives. I can defrag on my old drive
D -
but the new C:drive doesn't seem to even have Defrag installed. Can
anyone
please help me determine how to install defrag and defrag my C drive.
I'm a novice at this - so please excuse my laymen terms.
Thank you for your help.>>>>

As a first step double click " My Computer" and ensure that both your "C" and "D" drives are listed along with your floppy and cd-rom and other drives if any.

if they are listed then you should be able to defrag "C" the same way you did " D ".

to access windows "defragmenter" go to start/programs/accessories/system tools/disk defragmenter. the defragmenter window should show all the drives detected in your system and you should be able to defragment whichever drive you want.

HTH and good luck----Venkat Viswanathan
