Too bad about your Super radio II.  I currently still have mine, and use it
in my office at work, since we're in a steel building, and I need all the
help I can get with AM reception.

My Super II. has a tuning knob that is starting to slip;  I think the string
in there is just plain worn out.

And, I agree with you;  the Super III. is not nearly as good as the old
Super II. in terms of audio or sound quality.
