They give three different levels, from one which
focuses on merely controlling carbohydrate to the most
stringent level, the Purist, which is essentially
paleo: no grain, dairy, or sweetneners. Quite
frankly, in its insistence on organic produce and
grass-fed meat, it's more stringent than I am able to
be at this time!

The book also covers in detail why grain and dairy are
a problem, from both an evolutionary and a
physiological point of view, as well as a great deal
of other scientific information.

Andrea
