Just answering the original post that was made. As far as making contacts
goes, on the bottom page of the echolink index, it shows you people that are
on line. So take advantage of that because those are users that are on line
right then and usually providing they're in front of their computers, you'll
most likely get an answer. This feature is useful for when you're testing
out your audio, or if it's late at night, and noone's on the repeaters to
speak to. I often connect with individual stations late at night, because
there really isn't anyone sitting on the repeaters to talk to you. It is
good that the above response, the person there offered you some assistance
and we'll be available on a particular repeater. It's good to memorize the
contacts you make on the above pages on echolink which displays the
repeaters and links. Links are simply rf simplex frequencies. Lots of people
run echolink remotely so you can find those stations too. Have fun with it
and if you ever need additional help, I've found a bunch of commands they
don't list in the help. 73 va3kky
