Hi Butch,
I used an ic28 for a short period of time and liked it.  However, it is my
understanding that there is no provision for speech for any of that trio of
transceivers.  Too bad; the 28 has a really sensitive selective receiver.
I have had their predecessors for years; 27, 37 and 47.  They all have
speech but are getting old.  Like their owner, they forget what they have
in memory but I probably won't go to the extent of replacing the internal
batteries.
