I dunno. To me that's kinda like asking, "who's against breathing" :)

It's mainly because most people - including doctors who should know better
- *assume* grains and other starchy foods are part of our "normal" dietary
-- they've never considered it otherwise. If you start out assuming that
bread is normal and natural (i.e. - that it provides nutrients we can't get
from other sources), then of course you are going to allow for it as part
of *any* diet. The problem is not that they don't see the connection with
illness, it's because they are starting with an invalid world view in the
first place.

Like they say - you don't know what you don't know. Or something like that.
