Hi. To set the pl tone, press the D key, which is the function key and
then press 2. You will have to know whare you are, so you can count
clicks, though if you turn on pl decode, you can slowly rotate the knob
until you start decoding the recieved tone.Function 1 toggals between
encode, encode decode, and off. When setting the tone, you must press 2
again to exit the pl set menu and save the setting Hope this helps. If
you need the manual for the 470, I have it.
