I should learn more about Orthodox Christianity. For myself I have no
trouble between my conservative Christian views and paleo eating. I
just think of Paul's advice concerning meat of animals sacrificed to
the Greek gods. He said, basically, not to confuse the physical and the
spiritual. Eat away! Peter's dream, of being offered the unclean foods,
and being told not to reject anything that God offers, is also germane.

It should be easy to maintain vegetarian eating during periods when the
Church requires, and eat meat at other times, even 50% of the time, as
the original post said. I am sure that even from a pure paleo
perspective, people had to eat only plants at some times. We are well
adapted to eating plant foods as well as animal foods.

Any Seventh Day Adventists on the list? I would be interested in their
views.
