Isn't it something how a person deceived by the enemy via fear and
ultimately cowardly behavior under goes more than the average might even
consider? Although your analogy was a bit graphic, yikes Phil, I'll be sure
to be in line if I ever come to visit you lol. But what you
described,    is  a fear which holds us in line as young Christians taking
our first steps, and later we advance our relationship to one of wanting to
please, to honor, to appreciate all our father has done for us, to want to
hold our lives in accordance with his will and not ours. There is a
graduation away from that initial fear of punishment towards a constructive
and loving direction. What then I thought God  said he didn't give us a
spirit of fear but that of love, peace, sound mind and etc.? And yet we see
the term "fear of the Lord" smattered all over god's word. There is a
difference between a spirit of fear and that of just "de facts Jack" as it
pertains to God's word set forth and the consequences one faces if one does
not comply. Perhaps a spirit of fear and fear of the Lord is a kin to guilt
and conviction. The former is from the enemy and the latter is from God.
Similar emotions or states  and although used for the same reasons,
worship, the outcome is much different at the end of life as we know it,
and in fact much different during the life as we know it too. So Phil?
Where do I get one of these bats with the holster? Do they come in foam,
plastic and the real Mc Coy? It is certainly a difficult  situation to try
to turn the tables on a motion already in progress, but nothing is too big
for God.
