On one of the lists I'm on, they have a rule that you're supposed to post
occasionally, I think it's like once a month, and that if you don't, they
email you.  I can see that that might be a good thing, just because those
who post a lot want to know they're posting in a safe and loving
environment, and it's hard to know what the lurkers are thinking/doing with
all the posts that come from the deepest part of the souls of the regular
posters.  Probably an occasional post to the silent majority would be a
good thing, if the idea is to make the list a close-knit community as those
who post seem to feel it is.
