It could be emenantly practical if they had smart it departments.

Hi all.  I too was forced to do this.  Luckily I was already using JAWS, but
the forced switch from WordPerfect to MSWord was less pleasent.  I guess
when the employer supplies the tools we have to use what they provide.
After all, how practical would it be for all of their employees to want to
use the software they prefer?
