Hello Doreen and other interested parties:

Does anyone really know what time it is?... Chicago

If you are running Windows X P it will update the time with a time server
for you. However you must have that feature turned on and have an active
internet connection.

To open Date and Time, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel,
and then double-click Date and Time.
An Internet time server updates the date set by your computer as well as
the time.
The Update Now button is not available unless the Automatically
synchronize with an Internet time server check box is selected

If you are not running X P go to www.worldtimeserver.com and download there
free time sync program. I don't know how well this little program works with
jaws. It works fine with ZoomText.

And yes this site really knows what time it is.

People who use their computers allot may have a time lag when their
computers are on all the time. If the clock is one hour behind as in your
example it may be a daylight savings time issue. Check your settings for
your clock. Check the correct date wile you are in there.

instance,
: saying it is 6:58 when in fact it is 7:58. This has now happened on a
: number of occasions.
: What do people think is the likely problem and how do i cure it? If it is
: the battery back-up, do i change the battery and if so, where is this
: located.
: Thanks.
: DOREEN YALE.
