I recently posted an inquiry about distilled vinegar and its gluten
status. I received many replies with articles stating that all gluten
is removed during the distilling process and that wheat is rarely used
as the grain.

One reply suggested that I contact the companies. Upon this great
advice I have contacted several companies regarding their gluten status.
Some are indeed are gluten free: Peter Piper Pickles, La Victoria,
French's mustards & Grey Poupon Mustard.

Hunt's products will not guarantee gf

Tabasco uses wheat and mile as their primary grain in the alcohol
fermentation process. They had their product tested and it came back
with a 0.016% gluten in the final product (after the distilling
process).

Thought I would share this with the group.
