While I agree with Tom's comments, it might be simpler to just copy the data
files to CD.  Don't copy the installed programs.  You can try copying the
program executable files, and then try installing them on your Win 98 machine.
They may work in the Dos mode, but, clearly,  many of those dos-based programs
will not work under Win XP.
