I believe Karen was referring to the naturally ocurring growth hormones
present in all dairy.  They are a natural component of mammal milk.  In
addition, non-organic dairies inject additional hormones into the cows to
increase milk production.  Professor Plant does not deem organic dairy
products significantly safer than non-organic precisely because even organic
milk contains hormones that are bio-identical to those found in human breast
milk.
