Not a problem for me anymore, - but thanks for the explanation.
I've learned a little more.
This explains why some of my old W98 SE. rescue disks didn't work either.
I knew about the file, but could never find it on the so called Rescue Disk.

The answer for me was to download the right Rescue Disk from PC BUILD.
