you know in the past when the dems were drawing the
lines, they probably drew lines that did not exactly
make sense.

in georgia the democratic legislature drew some
rediculus lines and still lost some of the districts
that they thought made safe districts for dems.

that is just how it works. i must say, there is a
national sydicated radio show that is discussing it
now.
  it is not without precident. 24 years ago, 12 state
senators out there hid out in a austin garage while
the rangers combed the state for the missing senators.
