Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has similar experience to mine. Keep in
mind that I dont know if gluten is a problem for me. I am gearing up for a
gluten-free trial as soon as I get all my facts together.

I have had minor Irritable Bowel Symptoms all my life. Mostly gas (lots of
gas!!!!!!!!!). On top of that I've developed over the last few years two new
symptoms. My formerly normal smelling gas had turned into a ghastly odor
that could peel paint. Also, I now hear the strangest sounds from inside my
bowels and guts. Gurgling, rumbling, sounds of liquid flushing around,
little explosions. They are VERY LOUD, started out of nowhere, dont seem to
correlate with any specific pattern of eating or food consumption.

All of these problems are annoying, but tolerable. This is not really why I
am looking into gluten sensitivity. The main reason I am looking into gluten
sensitivity is this EXTREME FATIGUE, LETHARGY, HEADACHES, and waxing and
waning FLU-LIKE FEELINGS that have overcome me within the last 5 or so
years. It has gotten better over the years, but its still there.

I've been tested for just about everything. The only diagnosis I've received
is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which is useless and is one of exclusion).
Because of my IBS symptoms, docs were curious is the fatigue problems were
gut related. Hence my years of multiple biopsies, endoscopies,
colonoscopies, etc, etc, looking for everything from Celiac to Crohns.
Nothing was found. My gut, according to the tests, is perfectly normal. Joe
Murray at Mayo Clinic reviewed my slides and said there is no pathology
present.

So I was just wondering if anyone with gluten sensitivity found that their
biggest complaints were not tummy related and were more energy levels,
fatigue, sick fluish feelings, etc.

Thanks!
