Sharon, thanks for your words of wisdom. I do not know what a gluten intolerant test is, my doctor only told me about Celiac disease for people who are gluten intolerant. He tried to convince me that because I did not have Celiac, (after my biopsy results came back negative) I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome--which he treated by prescribing, Valium, anti depressants, and a high fiber diet. In response to my protests regarding how sick I would become after eating wheat he told me that I needed to EASE into a high fiber diet. Not only did I get sicker than ever could not get out of bed with all the drugs he had put me on. Needless to say, I do not have that doctor anymore, yet I have been unable find anyone much better. Doctors need to be more educated in areas of food intolerances.

Sorry to hear about your heart attack, you sound like a strong woman. My wife has been having strange pains in her throat and chest. She says it feel like someone is standing on her throat, and the only thing that helps is my Prevacid pills I take for acid reflex disease--which it turns out I don't have either..Doctors???? Anyway, she is scared to go to the doctor and the acid reducer medication does not always help and I am afraid she has a heart condition. Could you tell me what your symptoms were before your heart attack? Maybe she has a food intolerance of some kind, did you say that food played a role in your condition, can anyone suggest a way to distinguish between symptoms created by food intolerance and other medical conditions? I am well aware of the obvious answer to my question--ask a doctor--my wife does not have insurance and we have lost faith in doctors--at least in the area we live in---I would be dead if my cancer had been diagnosed here--in fact, it was misdiagnosed for 2 years until I got medical insurance and went to a teaching hospital--The University of Washington Hospital, where they saved my life.

For people who are looking for milk free products TRADER JOES prints a pamphlet on all their milk free products. They are very inexpensive as well--especially compared to health food stores. Check the internet for a store maybe they can send you a pamphlet and you can order direct if you do not have a store near you.

Watch out for french fries, hash browns, and other fried products bought in stores or restaurants. They are covered in a Lactose based product that helps to brown them.

P.S. I tried to write you on your private email address but it would not go threw. How does one mail someone privately? I had to rewrite this letter, tailoring toward a broader audience.
