Thanks, Mag, but I tend to stay away from herbs, esepecially with all the meds 
I take.  It's hard enough to balance prescriptions to avoid adverse affects 
without throwing herbs into the equation.

I'll look at the information you sent me and talk to my doctor about it.

When I had surgery last year, I was advised to not take herbs as they would 
have impeded my recovery and interacted with my meds.  So I've been very wary 
of them since.  However my doctor did advise me to eat more soy and I make 
sure I eat a meal with soy protein at least  three meals a  week but you have 
to be careful even there, because too much soy is not good for you.

I've started going into menopause with none of the symptoms except excessive 
bleending for which I take iron supplements.  I don't plan to takr HRT as I  
(and my doctor) feel it's too risky with my high blood pressure and I 
certainly do not want to start it if I can help it.
 
I guess moderation in everything is the key!
