Hi, several of you requested info about Sanibel Island in Florida. I've had
tremendous luck eating out:

TIMBERS had plain fish, baked potato, plain steamed veggies, and salad.
Excellent waitstaff and knowledgable manager.

At SCHNAPPER'S HOTS, there is a dedicated fryolater (sp?) for their freshly
cut french fries. They were delicious. I was assured of their
contamination-free process.

The manager at the BUBBLE ROOM was clueless, but the server was able to make
suggestions and check on things. Very expensive for moderately good food.
Lots of atmosphere. It was tough watching everyone else devour their
cinammon rolls and cheese bread.

GRAMMA DOT'S was able to provide me with a plain salad and plain, grilled
fish. Mostly gluten-filled food there. Excellent service.

Grocery stores are tough on the island - plenty of fresh foods, though. The
one health food store was poorly stocked, but I have checked in several times
and have been able to get yogurt, rice crackers, and raw nuts there.

Hope this helps. Peggy nh/fl
