I read Carol's post today about bread in the tuna salad that she found in a
diner. I was in a deli last week and was going to order tuna salad. Since it
was off-hours, the deli wasn't busy and my "little voice" kicked in. I asked
and was told that they put bread crumbs in it. The owner told me that many
delis add this to the tuna salad.
I, too, live in the Northeast. I don't know if it's a regional thing, but
before ordering tuna salad, please ask about bread or flour.
Happy 2003!
Linda on Long Island
